Cycle 5 PE – Going Out Community Soccer Program with Hampton East School

Dear Cycle 5 Families,
As part of the Cycle 5 Physical Expression program, our students will be taking part in a Sports Mentor Program in partnership with Hampton East School (HES) on Thursday, 11 September and Thursday, 18 September.
This initiative offers a meaningful opportunity for our students to develop leadership, empathy, and communication skills by mentoring young people who are living with intellectual disabilities and other additional needs.
Working alongside HES students in a supportive and inclusive environment, our Cycle 5 students will help introduce and facilitate a range of accessible sports and movement activities. The program is designed to encourage teamwork, inclusion, and mutual respect, while also building confidence and social connections for both groups of students.
This partnership strongly reflects our Montessori values of community engagement, responsibility, and purposeful real-world learning. It also allows our students to put their coaching and mentoring skills into practice in a way that is both impactful and rewarding.
We are excited to be building this connection with Hampton East School and look forward to sharing stories and highlights from the program with you later in the term.
